'FULANIS' HERDSMEN ATTACKS, ANALYZING THE POLITICS

BEHIND BUHARI'S SILENCE.

In 1999, when Nigerians welcomed the return to democracy, it was

a great experience, full of hope, faith and with every sense of

freedom.

Political dynamics began to play out, the north handed power to the

south/west, but retained the Vice Presidency.

The south east were not satisfied being senate president, this and

other factors lead to what we call cognitive system and cognitive

process in political science that precipitated and shaped Nigeria's

political culture Today.

OBASANJO AND SOUTH EAST.

The south east, believed that Obasanjo hated the Igbos, due to his

final onslaught on Biafra as the GOC of 3rd Marine Commando that

captured Owerri.

Colonel Obasanjo lead Philip Effiong (Next in Command to

Ojukwu), Philip Mbanefo (Biafra's Attorney General) and other

Biafran leaders to Dodan barracks where the instrument of

surrender was signed on the 15th of January,1970.

Obasanjo watched Biafra died in her last days. The Igbos are

holding this against him. This sentiments was hijacked by political

actors, who wanted to intimidate or force the president to do their

own bidding.

This gave rise to MASSOB being very fierce and strong in south

east during his tenure.

OBASANJO AND AGITATION IN SOUTH SOUTH.

There are strong speculations that Atiku Abubakar wanted to

contest for 2003 presidential election.

Obasanjo wanted 2nd tenure, Atiku had the Governors and the

northern political bloc. Obasanjo had to beg Atiku to drop his

ambition and Atiku did.

Unconfirmed reports has it that Atiku had initially positioned

Bayelsa governor, D.S.P Alamiesigha as his vice.

When Obasanjo came during his second tenure, he went after

Atiku's structures. His first attempt was proposing that the Office

of the Vice President be relocated to Lagos. He went after

Alamieyesigha, to dismantle Atiku in south south. The Ijaws saw

their governor general being humiliated.

Alamieyesigha's boys in the creeks began to boil, oil pipelines

became targets, external political power interests hijacked genuine

agitation and converted it to full blown militancy.

Those who never liked Obasanjo or his government and

"unfavourable" policies, including the south east, saw the creeks as

a good venue to invest.

YAR'DUA, AND THE POLITICS BEHIND HIS EMMERGENCE.

Yar'dua was selected by Obasanjo for two reason as PDP's

candidate for 2007 elections for two reasons;

I. His elder brother; Shehu Yar'dua's political structure called PDM

that Atiku nurtured after he died at detention, metamorphosed into

PDP.

II. Obasanjo needed a candidate that would prevent Babagida and

Atiku from clinching the Presidency of Nigeria.

Babagida and Atiku are beneficiaries of the Yar'dua's family

benevolence. IBB pulled out of the race when he saw that Yar'dua

was going to emerge.

YAR'DUA, BOKO HARAM IN THE NORTH AND MILITANCY IN THE

SOUTH SOUTH.

When Yar'dua became president in 2007, he had many challeges at

hand.

The Atiku's structure that was battered in the south south following

Alamieyesigha have hijacked resources control agitation, and have

gone out of control, full fledged militancy had taken over.

Boko Haram's notoriety was becoming alarming, and those who

opposed the emergence of Yar'dua have seen a fertile ground to

invest in; Militancy in the south south and Boko Haram in the

North.

Yar'dua went for amnesty for the south south and military might for

Boko Haram in the North.

Amnesty succeeded in the South south, but military might failed in

the north to end Boko Haram. The founder Mohammed Yusuf was

arrested and murdered, black elements hijacked this and

brainwashed his followers.

Why the south south became relatively stable, the North was

boiling from Maiduguri and it was spreading too fast for comfort.

GEJ, THE NORTH AND BOKO HARAM.

When Yar'dua was removed from the way, the "cabals" thought

GEJ was going to be a walk over.

But the agitation in the south south was so strong that it became a

good political shield for GEJ. It had created a great political

consciousness among Niger Deltans.

GEJ's greatest opposition came from the North. The Boko Haram

"intimidation" took a new dimension.

GEJ was busy "condemning" and the cabals were busy bombing

until GEJ's condemnations became weak and boring...the cabals

achieved their aim, yes aim to rubbish and weaken a sitting

president in the eyes of his people.

GEJ in retaliation, embarked on a strategy to dismantle the North.

He moved Chief of Army staff from Kano to Abia, CBN governor

from Kano to Delta, NSA from North to Bayelsa, before he returned

it back when he entered alliance with IBB structure.

GEJ moved many appointments from north to south, and where he

left them, he gave them to minority north (Christians), or such a

way to polarize the Hausa/Fulani grip on power.

The centenary celebration was not meant to celebrate Nigeria as a

united Nation, but it was devised by GEJ to conscientize Nigerians

on how the entity Nigeria and how she was merged and emerged.

BUHARI AND THE IGBOS.

Muhammodu Buhari's popularity in the south east has been very

low. This is due to two factors;

I. As a lieutenant in the army, he was among the northern officers

who stormed Ibadan in the counter coup of 29th July, 1966 that

killed Nnewi born General Aguyi Ironsi who was the Head of State.

II. Mohammodu Buhari fought the war on the federal side. His

roles in the war is a "black credentials" in the eyes of south

easterners.

BUHARI, ELECTIONS AND THE IGBOS.

Knowing well that he is very unpopular in the east, he had made

efforts to reach out to them countless times.

In 2003 elections, he brought an Igbo as vice; Chuba Okadigbo

(late). In 2007, he went for Edwin Umeh Ezeoke, another south

easterner. It was in 2011 and 2015 he turned to south west where

he picked Tunde Bakare and Yemi Osinbajo respectively.

BUHARI, THE IGBOS AND 2015 ELECTIONS.

The south east commercially maximised GEJ's presidency than

even south southerners. So in 2015 elections, with outstanding

sentiments against Buhari and the North, and GEJ succeeded to

shield himself by ideologically merging south east and south south,

the whole of the south east voted for GEJ and lost out at the end of

the day.

BUHARI, IPOB AND THE POLITICAL CABALS.

When some cabals saw that they have lost out, they turned to the

zone where Buhari has the least popularity and invest in

sentiments that they would use to hold him to ransome to play

their own cards.

With the anger of losing out in south east, the cabals hijacked IPOB

(Indigenous People of Biafra).

IPOB became strong over night, to crush IPOB, Mohamodu Buhari

used EFCC to go after its' sponsors in Abuja.

From Abuja, IPOB was paralysed within weeks. The cabals lost

again.

BUAHRI, HERDSMEN ATTACK AND HIS SILENCE.

There are people who would always fight. Obasanjo was fought

with MASSOB in south east, agitation in the south south and

religious riots in the north.

Abacha was fought with June 12 in the south west. Yar'dua was

fought with Boko Haram in the north and militancy in the south

south.

GEJ was fought with Boko Haram in the north and the media of the

south west was used to amplified his inefficiencies.

The cabals know how to hold a sitting president to ransome, since

their gymnastics have not yielded much threatening results using

IPOB, the tactics must change.

Like Boko Haram, MASSOB, Niger Delta Militancy, Sharia riots etc,

there are all tools in the hands of the cabals to manipulate,

intimidate and humuliate the government of the day.

They may be a long time hostility between herdsmen and farmers,

this hostility can be hijacked like Boko Haram, Resource Control

Agitation, IPOB etc to cause disharmony. By those who are at the

receiving end of "unfavourable "government policies, e.g the

ongoing probing.

Cabals and their merchandise strive in disharmony. Disharmony is

how they send message and strive for power and relevance.

Cabals use human blood to fuel then engine of mischief.

With Mohammodu Buhari, being a fulani, and "herdsmen" are

killing Nigerians, this is a good and strong tools the cabals can

exploit to discredit Mohammodu Buhari.

If he breaks silence and condemns, another one would happen

again, if he condemns, another would happen again.

I think Mohammodu Buhari is being careful not to dilute the power

of his spoken words.

In as much as I call on Mr President to be proactive to end these

senseless killings, I condemn these barbaric killings with every

sense of humanity and humanism.

I want Nigerians to note that these killings may have taken a well

planned political motive by those "black cabals" who want to hold

the president hostage.

Cabals are invisible, if you think I am lying ask Prof Dora Akunyili

of blessed memory.
