There will be no Imposition of Candidates Under my Watch
-PDP Chairman of Imo State.

The no nonsense Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Imo State, Barr. Charles Ezekwem, has reiterated the determination of the party executive in the state to superintend over free and fair party primaries.

Barr. Ezekwem stated this while addressing a mammoth crowd of party faithfuls at Ikeduru Local Government Area in continuation of the party's State Wide Sensitization Rally.

Barr. Ezekwem who holds the traditional title of Ikemba Okigwe identified imposition of candidates as the reason behind the poor performances of the party in previous elections, especially the governorship elections. He vowed that such undemocratic tendencies will not be tolerated by the party in the coming primaries, and charged the aspirants to work hard and convince the delegates on the reasons why they should be the preferred candidates.

In his speech, the Senator representing Owerri Senatorial District and frontline governorship aspirant, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy), lauded the efforts of the State Executive ably led by Barr. Ezekwem in repositioning the party for better electoral performance. He assured the party faithfuls that PDP is supposed to be home for all in Ikeduru, though dry for now, but his efforts will surely manifest in a plentiful harvest in the 2019 general elections.

Other Speakers at the rally included Senator Chris Anyanwu, Hon. Henry Nwawuba, Mrs. Ijeoma Nwafor, Chief Dennis Okwu, Ambassador Uche Ogbuagu and other House of Assembly Aspirants under the party.

They all agreed to work together in the overall interest of the party in the 2019 elections.
