Over the years, I’ve watched legislators come and go and candidates come and go, I’ve often pondered what qualities are most important for a legislator, Here are five qualities that Her Excellency, Mrs. Ijeoma Faridah Wada possess, a house of Representative hopeful for Ikwuano-Umuahia Federal Constituency, Abia State.
1. Learn process – The legislative process is like a monopoly game. Those who know the rules best mostly get their way, take the time to learn parliamentary procedure and learn how to pass and kill bills, Mrs. Wada often time has distinguished herself as a good learner in such aspects over the years.
2. Learn appropriations – The difference between Executive Appropriations and Appropriations SubCommittees is immense. Figure out how to get funding of which Mrs. Ijeoma understands perfectly.
3. Be a hard sell – Her Excellency, Mrs. Ijeoma Faridah Wada will be a representative who will be more passionate, reflective and desirous over the well-being of her immediate constituent.
