BREAKING NEWS! BSU Lecturers Set To End Strike Today


According to reliable sources, the lecturers under the auspices of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Benue State University chapter are billed to hold a congress meeting today, 17th July 2017 to consider calling off the protracted strike after Benue state government during the weekend made a significant shift of grounds to agreed to their demands.
According to Benue.com.ng - BSU ASUU set to call off the strike. The state government, amongst other demands, has agreed to pay four months of the earned allowances while paying salaries for the month of June and July. Furthermore, the state government has assured that subsequent arrears of earned allowance will all be taken care off as it has authorised the university authority to pay monthly, from the university’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

Meanwhile all Jeezitainment efforts to reach the ASUU chairman, Professor David Ikoni proved futile as he did not answer his phone.
