Event: STAGE SET FOR BENUE FASHION WEEK 2016

Benue Fashion Week Organizers in a press briefing have assured that this year Benue Fashion Week will be the best of it kind,  trusting on the preparation made for the event. 

The Benue Fashion week is a local and international fashion event which intends to bring together media, industry, buyers and consumers to view the current collections of designers in Benue and Nigeria.

The fashion and exhibition event will feature: Runway shows featuring new season collections from the best talents in the fashion industry; exhibitions featuring fashion products and accessories, textiles, design elements, photography and art installations workshops and master classes that will facilitate knowledge transfer, information exchange and networking opportunities across board.

Events and Activities of the Benue Fashion week

I.      Run Way Shows; featuring collections from the best talents in the Benue Fashion Industry.

II.     An Exhibition Market Place; featuring fashion products, textiles and accessories on display for sale.

III.    Work Shops/ Lectures; that will facilitate knowledge transfer, information exchange and networking opportunities across board.

IV.      Fashion Business Series; to facilitate conversations with key players from other parts of the country as a useful tool for exchanging ideas, networking and developing the Benue Fashion Industry.

Aims and Objectives of the BFW

The goal of the event is to provide a platform to display the services, goods and products by Benue born Fashion designers, Traditional fabrics weavers and other fashion accessories producers.

The lectures will expose the potential of the fashion industry for Job creation, and the need for the youths to consider alternative ways for self sustainance other than the white collar jobs.

The Event which is put together by the  Association of  young Designers of Benue origin under the umbrella of the Benue Fashion Designers Network

Seeks to showcase to the whole world the products produced by its own people and as a result project the state government's interest in supporting and promoting creativity and entrepreneurship.
