Inability to pay salaries by state government is bothering me - President Buhari.
The president of the federal republic of Nigeria , Muhammadu Buhari in a meeting today with the Nigeria Governors forum(NGF) expressed concerns over state governments inability to pay workers salaries despite bail out funds given to them. He promised proactive response on refunds due to state governments for maintainance of federal roads and other expenses incurred onbehalf of the federal government.
President Buhari also said , he would establish inter-ministerial committee to study a fiscal restructuring plan of the federation presented to him by the Governors.
He called on the Governors to be patient and understand that the federal government also has funding problems of it's own. " You all know the problems we have found ourselves in. You have to bear with us," he said.
